What is NACDEP?

Welcome to the National Association of Community Development Extension Professionals
NACDEP is an organization dedicated to improving the visibility, coordination, professional status and resource base of community and economic development Extension programs and professionals.

We encourage you to share this site with your colleagues, become involved in one of our many activities, and give us your thoughts about how NACDEP can be useful to you and your colleagues. NACDEP makes no effort to proscribe what state or regional community resource and economic development programming and research look like, but rather is designed to assist those of us who deliver programming and do research under this broad umbrella to acquire and maintain the financial, political, technical and organizational resources we need to meet our objectives.

2026 NACDEP Annual Conference in Wichita, KS June 15-18, 2025! Our annual conference of the National Association of Community Development Extension Professionals (NACDEP), as always, offers a unique opportunity for Extension professionals to learn, network and grow! 

Hosted at the historic Drury Plaza Hotel Broadview on the banks of the ArKANSAS River, this event places attendees in "the Middle of Everywhere." Guests can immerse themselves in the local culture during their downtime while engaging in high-impact professional development sessions that explore the vital role of land-grant institutions in research, teaching, and Extension. 

Conference Purpose 

The 2026 NACDEP conference is a premier forum for Extension professionals to exchange ideas, launch collaborative projects, and forge lasting partnerships. Through interactive sessions, attendees will discover how collective action amplifies the impact of land-grant institutions across the communities we serve.
