Getting to Portsmouth, NH and the Sheraton Harborside Hotel

Portsmouth does not have a national airport, so the best way to fly here is:

Getting to Portsmouth from Boston-Logan Airport, Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, or via Amtrak:

  • If flying into Boston Logan Airport, look for signs outside of terminal—by baggage claim—pointing to the bus stop for the C&J coach bus to Portsmouth bus station - https://www.ridecj.com/locations/boston-logan-airport/ You can purchase tickets ahead of time online or on the bus. The trip ranges from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic.

  • If flying into Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, you will need to rent a car. There is an airport pick-up and drop off from most major car rental companies.
  • If you are taking Amtrak to Boston, you can take the C&J bus to Portsmouth from South Station in Boston. Note the train from North Station in Boston does not go direct to Portsmouth.

  • OR, if you plan to rent a car, you can arrange for parking with the Sheraton Harborside hotel for $10/day if you are staying there.

Getting from the C&J bus station in Portsmouth to the Sheraton Harborside Hotel:

  • You can take  Uber/taxi/Lyft for approximately $12, depending on the time and demand. It is less than a ten-minute ride.
  • There is a shuttle that goes to downtown Mo – Sat. It is a five minute walk to the hotel from the nearest drop-off—be sure to ask the driver where the nearest stop to the hotel is, which is likely Market Square.
  • As the shuttle does not run Sunday, May 31, we are considering offering a shuttle from the bus station to the hotel for that afternoon if there is demand. Alternatively, conference host committee is working to set up a ride share folder to help conference-goers coordinate transportation.
